The actor said that this time of the year is very dangerous for everyone, but especially for those who don’t have anywhere to run to.

Dube reflected on the agony of having nobody to share the misery of being homeless with. He said that he had to adjust to the streets very quickly after learning that “criminals don’t take holidays”.

“The streets become even more dangerous for those who seem vulnerable and easy targets,” Dube said.

The commercial actor said that during these times, he only had God to depend on.

For him, prayer was the only source of protection that he recognised because the police were also too busy focused on the festivities.

“Prayer saved me. This time of the year means a lot to me and millions of people around the world.”

He pleaded with people to pray for the safety of homeless people during this Christmas season. He also asked people to also remember those travelling back and forth and to keep them in loving prayers.

According to City Press, The Clientele presenter was summoned to pay up R 1 432 675.61 in a matter of 10 days.
