Sundowns Finalize Signing of Reisinho – Sportswire
Mamelodi Sundowns manager Miguel Cardoso has announced the impending signing of Portuguese striker Miguel Reisinho.
Cardoso indicated that an official announcement will be made in the upcoming days once all final arrangements are confirmed.
The manager acknowledged that securing Reisinho was a challenging process, largely due to the significant distance between Europe and South Africa. “I expect that within a day or two, we’ll have more definitive information,” stated Cardoso, who has roots in Portugal. “It was evident that in order to bolster our squad, we needed to reinforce our forward position. It was a tough task until the very end since finding players of this caliber isn’t easy.”
He emphasized that it’s uncommon for players of Reisinho’s quality to transition from Europe to Africa. Currently, Reisinho is without a club after parting ways with Portuguese team Boavista at the conclusion of last season.
He will be joining another recent Portuguese addition, Nuno Santos, who recently made his debut for Sundowns in a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows.

Santos, reportedly a R20 million acquisition from Vitória SC, was part of the Portuguese teams that clinched the UEFA European Under-17 Championship in 2016 and the UEFA European Under-19 Championship in 2018.
