Ouaddou Applauds “Impact Players” Following Siwelele Victory
Orlando Pirates head coach Abdelsam Ouaddou praised his team, especially the substitutes, after their hard-earned 1-0 win against Siwelele FC in a Betway Premiership clash at Toyota Stadium on Tuesday.
The pivotal moment came from a halftime substitution, Oswin Appollis, who netted the decisive goal with just 10 minutes remaining. This win propelled the Buccaneers to fourth place in the standings, amassing 12 points from six matches.
“I’m an immensely proud coach. I’ve previously mentioned the exceptional talent in my dressing room,” Ouaddou expressed in a post-match interview with SuperSport TV.
Oswin Appollis: The Game-Changer Making an Impact
Appollis has emerged as an essential contributor for the Pirates, frequently delivering impressive performances off the bench. His late goal against Siwelele further solidifies his remarkable track record.
The Bafana Bafana player, who moved from Polokwane City during the off-season, also scored during the team’s 3-0 win over Lioli in the CAF Champions League preliminary round’s first leg at Bloemfontein.

Furthermore, he played a key role in the MTN8 final triumph over Stellenbosch FC and significantly influenced the victory against Chippa United leading up to the international break.
“Every player who steps onto the pitch has the drive to change the game; they are exceptional. I refer to them as impact players,” Ouaddou remarked.
“That’s why I call them impact players, as their mission is to make a difference. They have shown this consistently in recent matches, and I hope they continue this momentum.”
