Is President ED Mnangagwa’s tenure coming to an end? Zimbabwe on the brink of change
Johannesburg – Zimbabweans, both locally and internationally, are eagerly awaiting an uncertain future.
This anticipation was sparked by a mysterious figure known as “Bombshell,” who has recently made waves in the political arena by boldly announcing that President Emmerson Dambuzo Mnangagwa will be ousted from power on Monday, March 31, 2025.
Bombshell, who is actually Blessing Geza, an elderly former guerrilla fighter, has turned to YouTube to speak directly to Zimbabweans.
In his latest message, Bombshell, clad in military attire, proclaimed himself a man of action, seemingly referencing the burning of luxury cars and properties belonging to Zimbabwe’s elite.
One of the properties set ablaze belonged to Wicknell Chivayo, known for his ostentatious philanthropy, including gifting luxury vehicles to celebrities such as former soccer player Peter Ndlovu and famous Zimbabwean musician Jah Prayzah.
However, reports indicate that Jah Prayzah has returned both luxury vehicles and cash gifts he received from Chivayo, amidst growing speculation that this decision was influenced by the looming deadline of March 31, 2025.
According to Bombshell, Chivayo lacks a legitimate business yet splurges vast sums of U.S. dollars in a way that defies explanation.
The corpulent social media enthusiast recently shared images of himself with his wife and President Mnangagwa.
He has now become the focus of Bombshell’s anti-corruption campaign targeting the president and his circle of oligarchs.
Bombshell identified at least 26 so-called businessmen accused of draining Zimbabwe’s struggling economy.
The constant flaunting of ill-gotten wealth on social media by these elites has finally incited a backlash from the suffering populace.
It’s evident why Bombshell’s call for a nationwide uprising on Monday, March 31, 2025, has resonated with those enduring hardship.
To exacerbate tensions, Bombshell pointed out the blatant nepotism in the government, where Mnangagwa’s children hold significant roles.
Unemployment in Zimbabwe is believed to be as high as 90 percent.
Following his contested re-election, Mnangagwa appointed one of his sons and several nephews to deputy minister positions.
Alarmed, the deeply unpopular President Mnangagwa initially dismissed Geza’s uprising call, but as the deadline approaches, he has begun deploying police officers in urban regions.
Many of the police officers appear intimidated, with some seemingly recruited overnight.
Bombshell asserts that his actions will pave the way for Vice President Constantino Chiwenga to take over the presidency.
Chiwenga has remained silent on the matter.
All ordinary Zimbabweans can do now is anxiously watch the clock.
Bombshell has suggested that 20:30 is the coded signal for what’s to come.
No one knows what tomorrow may hold,
