LERWICK (6.00 Kempton, nap)

His recent run indicated potential when he returned to the 7f distance, narrowly missing out at Newcastle just 12 days ago. He led the field but was outdone in the closing moments. The shorter straight should be an advantage for him, and he will remain in the same grade. If he mirrors his last performance, Ed Bethell’s five-year-old could secure another victory.

ART OF DIPLOMACY (2.45 Wetherby, nb)

This horse has shown significant promise over three chase outings. He was compelled to cover too much ground when placing third at Wetherby last time, making a move to increase the distance a sensible choice. His handicap rating is decreasing, presenting a great chance to secure a win.

JACKPOT CASH (2.25 Bangor, treble)

He finally hit his stride with a win at Southwell last week on his debut guided by the skilled trainer James Owen. Though his jumping has faced challenges over larger obstacles, his proficient new trainer will likely refine it for this return.

LADRONNE (4.28 Wetherby, Lucky 15)

After finishing fourth in a more challenging race over 2m4f previously, this longer distance could work to his advantage. A reduction in grade alongside a lowered handicap mark makes this a prime chance to claim victory.
