Ex-Pirates Coach Temporarily Banned from Motsepe Foundation Championship
Milford FC has promptly suspended Mandla Qhogi, the previous youth coach of Orlando Pirates, following a disappointing 5-1 defeat to Highbury at Gelvandale Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
This decision was taken after the club suffered its second consecutive loss, having previously lost 2-1 at home to Orbit College.
Milford FC, who hired Qhogi during the off-season, has announced that club owner Dr. Xuma Pupuma will take over coaching duties while Qhogi remains suspended.
Currently, Milford occupies the fifth position in the Motsepe Foundation Championship, with 29 points from 19 matches, placing them level with fourth-placed Casric Stars. The team is striving for promotion while simultaneously aiming to steer clear of relegation.

At present, they trail league leaders Durban City by eight points and are four points behind second-placed Orbit College.
Dr. Pupuma is poised to lead his first match this weekend in the Nedbank Cup round of 16 against Sekhukhune United.
Having previously eliminated Kaizer Chiefs in the first round of last season’s tournament, Milford was scheduled to face Royal AM in the round of 32, but they are expected to receive a walkover since Royal AM cannot participate due to the South African Revenue Service seizing the club’s assets.
