The American wrestler continued his father’s legacy and later trained numerous current stars after retiring.
Triple H, WWE’s creative head, 57, expressed his sorrow through a heartfelt statement upon Funk’s death.
The noted wrestler, whose real name is Paul Michael Levesque, stated, “It is heartbreaking to confirm Dory Funk Jr.’s passing.”
“From the Double Cross Ranch to the WWE Hall of Fame, Dory’s unique style inspired numerous talents in our industry.
“Whether during WrestleMania Two, WCW, ECW, or various NWA events, his journeys across North America and Asia were crucial in establishing wrestling as a worldwide phenomenon.
