Gary Neville Slams Liverpool Trio as ‘Totally Ineffective’ in Chelsea Clash
Manchester United icon Gary Neville criticized Liverpool players Mohamed Salah, Florian Wirtz, and Cody Gakpo following their defeat to Chelsea.
The Reds faced a frustrating 2-1 loss against the Blues at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, with Estevao Willian scoring a dramatic winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

The Merseyside team appeared poised for a late resurgence after Gakpo, 26, equalized in response to Moises Caicedo’s opener.
However, Arne Slot’s squad suffered their third consecutive defeat across all competitions.
Neville, 50, did not hold back in his straightforward critique of Liverpool’s “completely ineffective” performance.
The Sky Sports analyst argued that the reigning Premier League champions’ struggles were tied to the lackluster displays from Gakpo, Salah, 33, and Wirtz, 22.
Neville remarked: “Games are defined by teams that exhibit a desire to win.
“I’m not suggesting Liverpool lacked that; they certainly did, but I found their performance underwhelming after they scored.
“While there has been significant attention on Liverpool’s defensive problems, which is fair, that wasn’t the reason for today’s loss.
“They fell short in the final 15-20 minutes because their creative players—those in the attacking third—were alarmingly ineffective.

“They were losing possession in concerning ways. Gakpo struggled, Salah was erratic; the wastefulness was evident.
“Wirtz didn’t seem to understand how to impact the game in those crucial closing moments, focusing too much on marking Caicedo; I watched him closely.”
