This contract is the longest allowed by FA regulations for players at his age.

Additionally, Premier League champions impose salary caps for players aged 17.

Previously, Ngumoha earned £14,400 a year before scoring a remarkable goal that led Arne Slot’s team to a 3-2 win against Newcastle last month.

This achievement not only marked him as a promising talent at Anfield but also made him the youngest goal scorer in the club’s history at just 16 years and 361 days.

At that time, he was unable to sign a full professional contract, but after turning 17 on August 29, Liverpool quickly secured his future—having signed him from Chelsea the previous September.

The England under-19 player was swiftly integrated into Slot’s lineup following exceptional performances during the summer pre-season tour.

He made his Champions League debut on September 17 in the 3-2 win against Atletico Madrid.

Ngumoha also earned his first start this week in the 2-1 Carabao Cup victory over Southampton.

The winger from Newham is set to receive his first substantial paycheck as a professional.

However, his transfer is currently tangled in a compensation dispute raised by Chelsea, the club that signed him at the age of eight.

Chelsea fans need not worry about losing Rio Ngumoha; there’s someone even better on the horizon

Blues legend John Terry has expressed regret over losing the “ambitious” player to Liverpool.

In an exclusive interview with SunSport, Terry stated: “He is a very motivated young man seeking first-team opportunities, believing that his best path is with Liverpool’s main squad.

“I still keep in touch with him; he’s a truly impressive player.

“We had a fantastic under-14 team, and he was a key player in it.

“It’s rare to come across players with such enthusiasm nowadays.

“More players may drift away from academies, but a few will always stick with you, leaving you to think, ‘I wish we had retained him.’”

“He exhibited incredible confidence, skillfully managing the ball and displaying a vibrant personality paired with strong self-assurance.”

“Players like [Eden] Hazard and Joe Cole used to dazzle fans, whereas football seems more tactical and mundane these days.

“Yet, he consistently showed that flair in the academy, and, unfortunately, we’ve lost that talent.”

“I don’t want to place unnecessary pressure on him, but I do wish him the best; he is a fantastic player.”

“He’s also a wonderful person, eager to learn and develop.”
