Polymarket Prepares for U.S. Launch, Secures $10 Billion in Funding

The prediction platform Polymarket is preparing for an upcoming funding round that could lead to a valuation of $10 billion.

With rising interest in blockchain platforms, crypto firms are eager to capitalize. Global prediction platform Polymarket is gearing up for another funding round that could boost its valuation to $10 billion. A report from Business Insider on Friday, September 12, emphasized the significant investor interest in the platform.

Insiders indicate that the company’s valuation might begin at $3 billion, potentially climbing as high as $10 billion. In its last funding round, finalized in the summer of 2025, Polymarket was valued at $1 billion.

Polymarket Readies for U.S. Launch

This announcement comes as Polymarket prepares to relaunch its U.S. operations for the first time since January 2022, when the Commodity Futures Trading Commission charged the company for offering off-exchange “event-based binary options” without the necessary registration.

However, with new leadership, the CFTC has since reversed its earlier stance. On September 3, Polymarket’s founder, Shayne Coplan, announced that they have received authorization to enable U.S. investors to trade again.

This progression follows Donald Trump Jr.’s recent addition to the company’s advisory board after an investment from 1789 Capital on August 26. His ties to the U.S. President may provide Polymarket with valuable regulatory leverage in Washington.
