Emirates Embraces Female ICC Match Officials Ahead of the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup
Dubai – Emirates (www.Emirates.com) proudly welcomed the all-female Emirates ICC panel of match officials at its Dubai headquarters as they prepare for their journey to India and Sri Lanka for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.
This esteemed panel consists of 14 umpires and four match referees hailing from 10 different nationalities, honoring Emirates as the Global partner of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, now in its 13th edition, is set to take place in India from 30 September to 2 November.
This event marks a historic milestone, being the first instance where an entire Women’s 50-over World Cup will be officiated by an all-female team of match officials.
During the welcome at Emirates Group Headquarters, Boutros Boutros, Emirates’ Executive Vice President for Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brand, remarked: “As the Official Airline Partner of the ICC, Emirates is honored to support the inaugural all-women team of match officials overseeing this pivotal tournament.”
