Before his untimely demise, Brooks-Meade had suffered a stroke and a brain bleed just a month prior.

He was integrated into Fulham’s youth program and frequently played for their reserve team, although he did not make a full debut.

A loan spell at AFC Wimbledon in 2007 preceded his near-signing with Bournemouth after his release from Fulham.

He later thrived in Cyprus, representing seven different clubs during his time there.

Brooks-Meade also earned 23 caps for the Montserrat national team.

During his international appearances, he developed a close friendship with the team captain, Colchester striker Lyle Taylor.

Taylor shared with the Daily Mail: “When it’s someone your age with whom you’ve shared numerous years and watched their journey as both a player and a person, it resonates deeply.

“I know it might sound cliche, but Corrin was genuinely a leader. He was unwavering. Honestly, he was probably the best among us.”

“He was an extraordinary person, and we are all grateful for the special moments we shared with him.”

Supporters are expressing their condolences with comments like: “So heartbroken. My thoughts are with the family.”

Another remarked: “Terrible news. He was an amazing player for us, completely shocked by this.”

One more fan added, “Rest in peace, Corrin. It’s devastating to hear of your passing, my friend.”

A number of fans and former teammates have contributed to a GoFundMe page established in his honor.

Even after retiring from club football in 2021, Brooks-Meade continued to represent Montserrat until last year.

After hanging up his boots, he focused on an Afro-Caribbean food business he started in Cyprus.

Notably, his uncle, Raphael Meade, played for Arsenal from 1981 to 1985.
