Loftus Stadium Fully Sold Out for Sundowns vs. Chiefs Match

The highly anticipated Nedbank Cup semi-final showdown between Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs at Loftus Stadium on Sunday (18:00) is now completely sold out.

The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that this encounter, showcasing these two football giants, will be held in front of a packed crowd.

The winner of this contest will advance to the final to face the victor of the other semi-final match between Orlando Pirates and Marumo Gallants, which is scheduled to take place at the same stadium later that day.

Importantly, this marks the first ever Nedbank Cup encounter between Sundowns and Chiefs since the bank began its sponsorship in the 2007/08 season.

The last time these teams met in a cup competition was back in 2006, when the tournament was still known as the Absa Cup. In that match, Chiefs emerged victorious in a penalty shootout and subsequently won the trophy by defeating Orlando Pirates, also via penalties, at Kings Park Stadium in Durban.

At that time, Chiefs were led by coach Ernst Middendorp.
