Police Investigate Assault on Glenwood Home by Intruders: Durban Woman in Her 70s Attacked

Durban – Heartless criminals broke into a home on Evans Road in Glenwood, Durban, assaulting a woman in her 70s before fleeing with their stolen goods.

Emergency services were summoned to assist the injured woman on Monday morning, (24 February 2025).

“Shortly after 10:30 this morning, ALS Paramedics responded to a reported robbery at a home on Evans Road in Glenwood Durban,” stated spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

“Upon arriving, paramedics discovered security personnel already on site, who led them to a residence where they found a woman in her 70s injured.

“Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked diligently to stabilize the woman, who had suffered serious injuries during the alleged break-in, before transferring her to a nearby hospital for the necessary medical care.”

Officers from Umbilo police station were on the scene and will conduct further investigations.
