Truffle mushroom steak: An exciting combination of flavours

Looking for another delicious way to serve an appetising succulent steak? Prepare this mouth-watering truffle mushroom steak to sweep your guests and family members off their feet. The luxurious combo of mushrooms with steak is not only seriously tasty but also healthy.

Mushrooms add a delightful umami flavour to the steaks. And as if the steak is not meaty enough, the mushrooms add a further meatiness to the mix.

How to prepare your truffle mushroom steak

This recipe calls for a medium-rare steak that is succulent on the inside with a caramelised crust on the outside. When starting with the cooking process, you need to ensure that the fire is at the correct temperature. If you are cooking it in a cast-iron pan, then the pan needs to be smoking hot.

To get your steak medium-rare, cook it three-and-a-half minutes per side for a 3 cm thick steak. Then, remove it from the pan or coals and leave it to rest while you prepare the mushrooms.

After preparing our truffle mushroom steak once, you will never want to cook a steak any other way again.
